Our client, Tāmaki Regeneration (TRC), is a place-based organisation that works alongside Mana Whenua, the community, and partners to shape Glen Innes, Point England and Panmure through New Zealand’s largest regeneration programme. Their focus is to increase the pace of housing delivery by building new, warm and dry homes, being a world class tenancy and asset manager, and delivering a focused set of social and economic programmes to enable greater whānau outcomes.
The Tamaki community has faced numerous challenges and pressures with housing being one of the largest single costs that most households face. They know the greatest impact they can provide for whānau is by focusing on the home, and consistently delivering 350-500 quality new houses every year.
With multiple projects underway and a strong pipeline of social housing, shared home ownership, and affordable rentals, you will play a critical role in the lifecycle of developments and thrive in a fast-paced and unique operating environment. As such, your career in residential property development will be long-standing and successful, demonstrating:
- Strong New Zealand residential development management experience with a proven track record of achievement in leading, planning and delivery of 50+ unit residential (or social housing) development projects
- Sound technical knowledge across the full development life-cycle including initial feasibility analysis, procurement, construction contract management, master-planning, consenting, and negotiation
- Strong budget and programme management skills
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, including managing external project team deliverables and providing regular project reports
- Excellent Board reporting skills – verbal and written
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Property Development
- Key industry relationships and a deep understanding of the residential development sector
- Qualifications relevant to Urban development such as project management, planning, urban design or similar
To ensure the impact of the regeneration will span generations, TRC is focused on achieving equitable outcomes and building Mana Motuhake in the community. It is this shared vision within the organisation that makes working at TRC a unique and rewarding experience.
